FROM THE DIRECTOR:
Welcome to Sun City Dance Classic, El Paso’s favorite dance competition! After 11 years Sun City is preparing for its biggest competition yet. From 25 participants and 200 fans our first year to a total of 1,200 fans and 600 competitors last year, there is no denying Sun City Dance Classic is one of the fastest growing dance competitions – and it’s all thanks to YOU! We love having dance teams all across Texas and New Mexico travel with family and friends each year to experience the magic of Sun City, an unforgettable weekend filled with talent, music, and lots of positive energy.
At Sun City Dance Classic, we encourage dancers of all ages to shine and showcase their talents in one or more of our 18 different categories in 3 separate divisions (Juniors, Seniors, and Adults). All ages are welcome to participate!
Hundreds of talented dancers from across the Southwest step into the spotlight at the annual Sun City Dance Classic at the El Paso County Coliseum. Every year, dancers compete for the chance to earn the prestigious title of Grand Champion, a cash award, as well as the highly sought-after championship banner.
Dance has always been my passion since I was 3 years old. My love of dance continued to grow as the years passed. I wanted to share that love with my students and decided to expand it to “anyone and everyone” who loves dance. I am so proud that I have been able to establish a forum to showcase talent in El Paso and surrounding areas. The talent we see each year is incredible.
I look forward to each year and anxiously await to see new talent. To date, I have never been disappointed and always try to make it better each year by adding new additions. It is a truly enjoyable event and I’m blessed and grateful to share this with family, friends, and all those who have a passion for dance!
Whatever your passion is do it with heart and soul because if you dance with your heart, your body will follow.
See you on stage!
