Ernesto is a proud El Paso native who currently calls Brooklyn, New York home. With a background in gymnastics, cheer, and dance, Ernesto moved to New York City to train at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy. There he trained in all styles of dance, as well as singing, acting, and gymnastics. He later graduated from the Dance Theatre conservatory program.
Upon graduation, Ernesto began traveling the world as a dancer. He traveled with Dublin Worldwide Productions to Canada, as well as around the world on Cunard Cruise Line’s flagship, the Queen Mary 2. During this time he also found himself on the cover of The Long Island Pulse Magazine, modeling for the clothing line Mr. Porter, and performing at New York Fashion Week.
Most recently, Ernesto was seen on the Broadway National Tour of Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville. Other favorite shows he’s performed in include West Side Story, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and On Your Feet! The story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan. When Ernesto is not dancing or teaching he can be found in his kitchen trying a new recipe, or reading a book on the subway. He sends love to the El Paso dance community and Monica Perez for welcoming him back to the city that started his love for dance!
