Kristal Torres is a military brat that found dance at the age of 9. As her family continued to travel, dance became her passion. She continued to study dance and attended DuPont Manual Youth Performing Arts High School, while dancing with Louisville Ballet Civic Company throughout her high school career. Shortly thereafter, Kristal attended Marymount Manhattan College to study Fine Arts. Still traveling with her family Kristal began teaching, and has been for over ten years. Even though majority of her teaching career takes place in great state of Texas (El Paso & Killeen) she also has had the privilege to teach overseas in Bamberg Germany, as well as, Orlando Florida. Kristal had the opportunity to be a dancer for Walt Disney World. She performed in the famous shows Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom, and in The Disney Channel Rocks Show at Hollywood Studios. She was also an Equity Dancer for the Christmas castle show “Celebrate the Season”. Kristal has performed for the artist Jordan Spark, Yolanda Adams, and Steve Harvey while working at Disney. Now, she is the Director of FreeStyle Dance Studio, and Owner/Founder of In Cadence Dance Co.
