LaKesha was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She began dancing and tumbling at a young age of four and competing by age six. While competing, she received many awards and featured twice in Dance Spirit Magazine. After graduating, she began her professional career performing with companies such as Suchu Modern Dance Company and SoReal Performing Arts Center. Between these two companies she was able to perform at the NBA Allstars Weekend, Beyoncé’s music video “Blow”, CW commercial, Microsoft flash mob, and competed at World of Dance and Hip Hop International. She also appeared in local fashion shows and Sakowitz Fur Commercial.
LaKesha then moved to Los Angeles where she signed with MSA. This open opportunities to dance for August Alsina, Lyrica Anderson, Hollywood Carnival, choreographed and performed for Make A Wish Foundation and local artist/bands. She also joined “Blacklight Society” directed by Tony Tzar and “Jacob Jonas-The Company” directed by Jacob Jonas where she performed excerpts at the Alvin Ailey Theater. After recovery from knee surgery, LaKesha performed at the Hobby Center in Sleeping Beauty And Her Winter Knight.
